What you''ll be doing;
- Assist the Shift Team Leader with the operation and monitoring of plant from a Central Control Room.
- Operate plant and equipment as required including, mobile plant and refuse cranes.
- Assist in ensuring day to day compliance with all aspects of the Environmental Permit.
- Carry out routine plant inspections and adjustments / operations as required.
- Collect and record plant data.
- Monitor stock and take receipt of consumables / collection of residues .
- Ensure a safe and efficient operation of all activities on site including a waste-fired high-pressure boiler, generator and associated auxiliary plant
- First-line fault diagnosis
What we''re looking for;
- Experience of mechanical & electrical plant with experience of plant operations, ideally gained within an engineering role
- Experience gained through working in a continuous process environment
- Ability to operate (or train to operate) a variety of mobile equipment and fixed plant
- Ability to work a continuous rotating shift pattern
- Appropriate NVQ for the duties above (Desirable)
