Shift Multi skilled Engineer

Our client in the area, is looking for an experienced shift multi skilled engineer with a mechanical-bias, to work-a 3 shift pattern, Monday to Friday. The main responsibilities will be to attend breakdowns and minimise production downtime; complete scheduled planned and preventative routines and undertake necessary corrective actions; participate in investigating and correcting process, product and quality related issues; help with the fault finding, diagnostic and corrective actions to maintain and improve the operation of the process equipment.

The main skills required for the role: knowledge of workshop equipment; welding experience;-ability to read and interpret electrical / mechanical drawings; good mechanical appreciation and knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, pistons etc; experience of working with variable speed drives AC / DC; ability to plan, review and implement Continuous Improvement initiatives.
