Shift Mechanical Engineer Location: Birmingham Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 per annum + shift allowance Hours: 40.25 hours per week Shift Pattern: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off Shifts: 7am-7pm / 7pm-7am Environment: Healthcare The Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced Shift Mechanical Engineer to join a busy healthcare environment in Birmingham. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting a wide range of critical mechanical and building services systems. You will undertake planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs, helping to ensure essential services remain safe, reliable and operational around the clock. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically qualified engineer who enjoys working in a technically demanding environment and is looking to develop their experience across complex healthcare building services. Key Responsibilities - Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of mechanical building services. - Undertake reactive maintenance, diagnostics, fault finding and repairs on complex mechanical systems. - Work on systems including: - Ventilation and air handling systems - Pumps and compressors - Boilers and heating systems - Medical gas systems - Domestic hot and cold-water systems - Other mechanical building services - Respond to BMS alerts and telephone calls, particularly during night shifts, acting as an initial point of ..... full job details .....
