Shift Manager

Questech Recruitment-are recruiting for an experienced-Shift Manager-to join our client''s growing manufacturing operation in Elland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with a strong manufacturing background who can drive performance, develop teams, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Location:-Elland, Halifax
Shifts:-4 on / 4 off (Continental Shift Pattern)
Salary:45,000

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day shift operations, ensuring production targets and KPIs are achieved.
• Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality, and housekeeping.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis.
• Monitor inventory, stock control, and WMS/NetSuite transactions.
• Ensure SOPs and training records are maintained and up to date.
• Work closely with Engineering, Quality, H&S, and HR teams to resolve operational issues.

Requirements

• Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong people management and communication skills.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach.
• Good understanding of health & safety regulations.
• Lean or Six Sigma qualifications are required
