Shift Manager

Questech Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Shift Manager to join our client''s growing manufacturing operation in Elland. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident leader with a strong manufacturing background who can drive performance, develop teams, and ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Location: Elland, Halifax Shifts: 4 on / 4 off (Continental Shift Pattern) Salary: 45,000 Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day shift operations, ensuring production targets and KPIs are achieved. Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and production teams. Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, and housekeeping. Drive continuous improvement using Lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis. Monitor inventory, stock control, and WMS/NetSuite transactions. Ensure SOPs and training records are maintained and up to date. Work closely with Engineering, Quality, HandS, and HR teams to resolve operational issues. Requirements Previous leadership experience within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong people management and communication skills. Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach. Good understanding of health and safety regulations.
