Are you a hands-on Mechanical or Electrical Engineer looking for a new challenge within a modern manufacturing environment?

This is an excellent opportunity to join an established and successful manufacturing business where you will play a key role in keeping a busy production operation running safely, efficiently and reliably.

You don''t need to have previous experience within manufacturing, we are interested in people who have strong electrical and/or mechanical maintenance skills and are comfortable working with automated production machinery.

The Role

Working as part of the site engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of production and plant equipment, responding to breakdowns and carrying out planned preventative maintenance to maximise equipment availability.

Key Tasks:

• Responding quickly and effectively to production breakdowns
• Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Diagnosing faults on automated production machinery
• Working with PLCs, drives, motors, sensors and control systems
• Maintaining pneumatic and mechanical systems
• Working closely with production colleagues to minimise downtime
• Ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out safely and to the required standards

Requirements:

We''re interested in speaking with multi-skilled, electrical or mechanically biased engineers who have experience of fault finding, troubleshooting and repair in manufacturing or an industrial environment.

You will ideally have:

• Recognised engineering qualification or apprenticeship
• Strong practical maintenance experience
• Good electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding ability
• A proactive approach to identifying and resolving problems
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work a shift pattern
• Experience with PLCs, inverters/VSDs, motors, sensors, pneumatics or similar - advantageous

Rate:

Fixed rate - -21.13 p/h (-39,500 based on av 36 hr week)
