Shift Maintenance Electrical Technician
Talent STEM are partnering with an established manufacturing business in Newcastle seeking a Shift Maintenance Electrical Technician to join their engineering team.This hands-on role involves maintaining and improving production equipment within a 24/7 manufacturing environment, supporting equipment reliability, minimising downtime and contributing to continuous improvement projects. Key Responsibilities- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing equipment- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery- Support Siemens PLC fault finding and diagnostics- Work with AC/DC drives and industrial control systems- Assist with equipment installations and commissioning- Maintain records using the CMMS system- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives- Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures including LOTO and permit-to-work systems Requirements- Completed Electrical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent- HNC in Electrical Engineering or related discipline- Experience fault finding on Siemens PLC systems- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and schematics- Experience within manufacturing, production or process environments- Knowledge of drives, Profibus or Profinet would be advantageous- Strong communication and teamwork skills Benefits- £50,000 - £57,500 total package- Continental shift pattern- Long-term career development- Stable and well-established manufacturing environment This is an excellent ..... full job details .....
