This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Shift Fitter looking to join a stable company offering a Monday to Friday days-based role, excellent training opportunities, and long-term career progression.The Shift Fitter will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a range of production and site equipment. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure machinery reliability, minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement projects across the site.Sector: ManufacturingNon-Negotiable Requirements for the Shift Fitter Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent)Previous experience working as a Shift Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance EngineerStrong fault-finding and mechanical maintenance skillsExperience working within an industrial, manufacturing, production or processing environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a team Requirements for the Shift Fitter Carry out planned preventative maintenance activitiesRespond to mechanical breakdowns and equipment failuresDiagnose and repair faults on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors and associated equipmentAssist with machinery ..... full job details .....
