Shift Fitter Location: Stanford-le-Hope, Essex Salary: £53,000 Shift: 4 on 4 off days and nights Job Role We are currently recruiting for a Shift Fitter to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business based in Stanford-le-Hope. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Shift Fitter looking to join a stable company offering a Monday to Friday days-based role, excellent training opportunities, and long-term career progression. The Shift Fitter will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a range of production and site equipment. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure machinery reliability, minimise downtime, and support continuous improvement projects across the site. Sector: Manufacturing Non-Negotiable Requirements for the Shift Fitter Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City and Guilds, Apprenticeship or equivalent) Previous experience working as a Shift Fitter, Maintenance Fitter or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Strong fault-finding and mechanical maintenance skills Experience working within an industrial, manufacturing, production or processing environment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Requirements for the Shift Fitter Carry out planned preventative maintenance activities Respond to mechanical breakdowns and equipment failures Diagnose and repair faults on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, motors and associated equipment Assist with ..... full job details .....
