Shifts: Continental (2 days, 2 nights, 4 off)

We''re working with a leading global manufacturer that has recently invested heavily in state-of-the-art technology at its UK facility. They are now looking to recruit a Shift Engineering Lead (electrically biased) to lead and develop a small team of engineers on a busy 24/7 production site.

This is a hands-on leadership position, perfect for an accomplished Shift Engineer ready to take the next step, or an existing Supervisor looking for a new challenge.

• Leading a team of 2 multi-skilled engineers on a rotating continental shift

• Planning, allocating and supervising daily maintenance and engineering work

• Ensuring compliance with safe working practices, permits to work, isolations and LOTO

• Responding to breakdowns, delivering planned maintenance and driving plant improvements

• Coaching and mentoring your team to build capability and drive performance

• Supporting site projects, installations and continuous improvement (World Class Manufacturing) initiatives

• Time-served or apprentice-trained engineer with an electrical bias

• Previous experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environments

• Working knowledge of safe systems of work, risk assessments and permit systems

• Experience with TPM principles and plant reliability techniques

• Some exposure to PLC and instrumentation systems (desirable, not essential)

• Previous supervisory or team-leading experience (or ready to step up)

• Strong fault-finding, organisational and communication skills

• Basic salary: -58,500
