Shift Engineer
About the Role We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Shift Engineer to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in preventing equipment failures, supporting production efficiency, completing planned maintenance activities, and ensuring operational targets are achieved safely and effectively.This role suits an engineer with strong mechanical and/or electrical skills who enjoys problem-solving and working closely with production teams.Key Responsibilities Carry out preventative maintenance (PM) activities and reactive maintenance tasksDiagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults quickly and efficientlySupport production teams to maximise equipment uptime and efficiencyComplete work orders, maintenance documentation, and reports accuratelyAssist with continuous improvement initiatives and equipment performance optimisationOrder spare parts and liaise with suppliers/contractors when requiredEnsure compliance with Health and Safety, GMP, Food Safety, PPE, and company proceduresSupport operators with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance activitiesParticipate in handovers and communicate engineering updates effectively across shifts What We re Looking For Electrical and/or Mechanical qualification or time-served apprenticeshipExperience within an automated production or manufacturing environment (minimum 2 years preferred)Strong fault-finding and maintenance skillsGood communication and teamwork abilitiesComputer ..... full job details .....
