Shift Engineer

I''m currently recruiting for a proactive and experienced Shift Engineer to join a well-established and fast-paced operation in Exeter. Reporting directly to the Engineering Team Manager, this role is focused on maximising plant uptime and efficiency while ensuring full compliance with mechanical, electrical, and environmental standards. The position offers a salary of up to 45,000.Key Responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond promptly to equipment breakdownsMinimise downtime and restore plant operations as quickly as possibleSupport the planning and delivery of long-term repair projects alongside the Engineering Team ManagerUndertake routine maintenance on boilers and pressure systemsSafely isolate equipment for maintenance activities and assist external contractors when requiredMaintain accurate maintenance records and ensure critical spare parts are readily availablePromote high housekeeping standards and adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulationsRequirements:Recognised mechanical and electrical qualificationsProven experience working with boilers and associated systemsFirst Aid certificationStrong communication skills with a collaborative, team-focused approachSolid understanding of health and safety practices, including COSHHSelf-motivated with a strong commitment to quality standardsShift Pattern:4 on, 4 off rotationAlternating between 4 day shifts and 4 night shifts48-hour working weekBenefits:Salary up to 45,000 ..... full job details .....
