Shift Engineer

Our client, a leading provider of technical building maintenance services, is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Shift Engineer to join the team at a prestigious commercial site in King''s Cross. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern, high-specification environment, supporting the operation and maintenance of critical building systems while delivering first-class engineering services. Key Responsibilities Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems and associated plant. Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime and maintain operational performance. Support mechanical and building services equipment where required as part of a multi-skilled team. Monitor building systems and respond promptly to alarms and incidents. Complete maintenance records, permits, and reports using the site''s maintenance management system. Ensure compliance with health and safety procedures, statutory regulations, and industry best practices. Liaise with subcontractors and colleagues to ensure all works are completed to a high standard. Requirements NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification. Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or a similar environment. Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Familiarity with LV distribution, lighting systems, emergency lighting, UPS, generators, and general building services.
