Our Maintenance team is essential to delivering this vision.The Role
The main purpose of the role is to ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment whilst providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner. You will be working as part of a full-time maintenance team of three.Key responsibilities include:Responding to and resolving guest room maintenance issues (plumbing, lighting, electrical, painting, etc.).
Performing preventative maintenance duties on guest rooms and equipment as assigned.
Maintaining fixtures, fittings, and facilities in both guest rooms and public areas.
Supporting the upkeep of back-of-house areas and equipment in safe working order.
Assisting external contractors with property and equipment repairs as directed by the Chief Engineer.
Completing all assigned work orders and daily tasks efficiently.
Responding to house calls via radio communication.
Ensuring compliance with all Fire Life Safety, Health and Safety, and brand policies at all times.
Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions promptly.
Building positive working relationships with all hotel departments.
Performing other reasonable duties and projects as assigned by the Chief Engineer.
About You
We are seeking a proactive, hands-on professional with:Strong customer service and problem-solving skills, with a keen, proactive approach.
Ideally, in-depth knowledge of at least one trade skill, with the ability to cover the basics of painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, and IT-related issues.
Flexibility to work on a rotating schedule (5 out of 7 days, including weekends and public holidays), covering early, middle, or late shifts (no night shifts).
Physical fitness to walk, stand, climb, bend, reach overhead, squat, and kneel for long periods, and use ladders safely.
Effective communication skills in English.
The Details
Full-time role, 40 hours per week .
Rota: 5 out of 7 days (including weekends and public holidays).
Shift patterns: early, middle, or late (no night shifts).
