MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading FMCG manufacturer to recruit a Shift Engineer to join an established Engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and operational excellence. Working within a modern manufacturing environment, you''ll play a key role in ensuring production equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting the site''s ongoing continuous improvement programme.

As a Shift Engineer, you''ll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of production and process equipment, ensuring maximum plant availability, and supporting operational performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults to minimise downtime.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Working collaboratively with Production, Technical and Engineering teams.
  • Assisting with machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projects.
  • Ensuring all engineering work is completed in line with Health & Safety, Quality and Food Safety standards.
  • What We''re Looking For
  • Experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Shift Engineer or Multi-Skilled Engineer.
  • Background within FMCG, food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing or another fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  • Experience delivering planned and reactive maintenance.
  • A recognised engineering qualification (Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC or equivalent).
  • A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
