Shift Engineer

Shift Engineer Location: Tamworth Salary: £51,510.48 Per Annum Department: Engineering Shift: Shift-based working, 4 on 4 off Reports to: Engineering Shift Manager About the Role We are looking for an experienced and proactive Shift Engineer to join our Engineering team within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving site equipment and services, ensuring maximum equipment availability and minimum production downtime. You will be responsible for carrying out both planned and corrective maintenance, responding quickly to breakdowns, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring machinery is safe, reliable and ready for production. This is a hands-on role requiring strong technical knowledge, excellent fault-finding ability and the confidence to work collaboratively with Engineering, Production and other site teams. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on plant, machinery and site services. Diagnose faults efficiently and implement effective technical solutions to minimise production downtime. Ensure all maintenance work is accurately recorded within the CMMS. Complete shift handovers and ensure outstanding issues are clearly communicated to incoming teams.
