Shift Engineer - London
Position: Shift Engineer (Electrical bias)
Location: City of London
Salary: -52,000-
Shift Engineer Responsibilities:-
- Perform reactive and planned maintenance on electrical systems, including lighting, power, UPS, and control panels
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults quickly and safely
- Support minor installations and upgrades; coordinate with contractors as needed
- Conduct routine inspections and compliance tests
Skills/Experience required:
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation, Maintenance, or Engineering
- Solid experience in electrical maintenance within commercial or critical environments
- Comfortable working shifts (days/nights) and handling urgent or high-impact issues
- Strong knowledge of permit systems, health & safety regulations, and safe work practices
- Capable of working independently or as part of a shift team under pressure
