SHEQ Manager

An established and highly regulated chemical manufacturing organisation in the West Midlands are seeking an experienced Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Manager to lead and develop its SHEQ function. This is a key leadership position offering the opportunity to influence business performance, drive continuous improvement and promote a positive safety culture across the site. You will report directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality management. The role involves leading specialist teams, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing customer and regulatory audits, and driving improvements across operational and management systems.Key Responsibilities:-Provide leadership and support across Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions. Maintain and improve COMAH compliance, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and associated management systems. Lead external audits, inspections and interactions with regulatory authorities. Develop, implement and monitor SHEQ policies, procedures and improvement programmes. Provide expert advice on safety, environmental and quality best practice. Manage customer audits, technical enquiries and quality-related issues. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions. Chair SHEQ and management review meetings.
