Location: North Manchester Type: Full-time, Permanent (Office and Site-based)Are you an experienced SHEQ professional looking for a leadership role in a well-established organisation Do you have a strong background in health, safety, environmental, and quality management, ideally within the waste management or a related industryOur client is seeking a SHEQ Manager to take full ownership of safety, environmental, and quality systems, ensuring compliance, best practices, and continuous improvement across multiple sites. This hands-on role requires a proactive leader who can drive SHEQ standards, enforce policies, and maintain key accreditations, including ISO standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead and maintain SHEQ accreditations, including ISO standards, Safe Contractors, ConstructionLine, and PAS402.Oversee the Integrated Management System (IMS), ensuring accuracy and compliance across all operational areas.Conduct internal audits, site inspections, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with safety and environmental legislation.Develop and implement action plans to improve workplace safety, reduce risks, and drive a strong safety culture.Investigate and report on incidents, near misses, and accidents, implementing corrective actions to mitigate future risks.Ensure compliance with waste carrier and destination site permits, environmental regulations, and sustainability initiatives.Work closely with department heads, providing guidance on CDM regulations, contractor control, ..... full job details .....
