Sheltered Housing Officer

Babergh and Mid Suffolk District Councils are seeking a Sheltered Housing Officer based in Botesdale, Suffolk. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will earn a competitive salary of £31,537 - £36,363 per annum (pro rata for part time). This role is open to full time, part time, and job share applications, all of which will be assessed equally. About the role Based predominantly at our Sheltered Housing Schemes in Eye and Botesdale, you may be required to provide cover at other schemes when required. The main duties involve visiting and supporting tenants and helping them to live independently. You will carry out a range of housing related support duties for residents of sheltered housing schemes, including: welfare calls to residents, identifying and arranging additional support if required respond in an emergency to residents maintain accurate and up-to-date records complete support plans, viewings and sign ups weekly and monthly Health and Safety inspections/checks report any safeguarding issues. You will ensure that the council policies, procedures and risk assessments are strictly adhered to.
