Sheet Metal Worker

Our client, based in the Frodsham/Preston Brook area near Runcorn, are looking for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker, who can also TIG Weld to a high standard. The job is permanent from day 1, working 4 day week Monday to Thursday and will pay a very competitive hourly rate.Someone from a sheet metal background would be preferred, who is used to carrying out TIG welding and able to read engineering drawings. The sheet metal duties will include using rollers, bending, marking out, cutting material, using a Press brake and being able to understand angle projections and bend allowances. This role involves working with various materials, primarily stainless steel, to assemble components and create high-quality products.Duties: Fabricate and assemble metal structures and parts according to specifications. Read and understand engineering drawings in order to carry out fabrication. Work with variety of metals to produce high quality work. Working in a small team but also able to manage their own small welding jobs.Requirements: Skilled/Qualified in welding (mainly TIG) and able to read drawings Experience working with sheet metal processes, rolling, forming, cutting, marking out etc. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
