Job Title: Sheet Metal Worker – Aerospace
Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Salary: £34,642.55 per year (includes shift premium, £18.01 per hour)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Shifts: Weekly rotation between mornings and afternoons

We’re supporting a long-standing aerospace manufacturer in Sheffield who are growing their team off the back of strong demand. The workshop’s clean, well-equipped, and run by people who know what they’re doing. You’ll be working on parts that have to be right first time, with a team that genuinely takes pride in getting the job done properly.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll be fabricating, assembling, finishing and inspecting sheet metal components used in aerospace applications. There’s plenty of variety, and you’ll be using a mix of tools and kit day to day.

What you’ll be doing:

• Fabricating and assembling components using sheet metal techniques.
• Interpreting technical drawings and following spec sheets.
• Abrading, deburring, drilling, dressing, inserting and riveting.
• Using tools like stretch formers, brake presses, guillotines and bandsaws.
• Following SOPs, route cards and working to NADCAP standards.
• Keeping your workspace audit-ready and logging work accurately.
• Flagging non-conformities and looking for ways to improve processes.

What we’re looking for:

• Sheet metal experience, ideally in aerospace or similar precision environments.
• Skilled in finishing, assembly and using hand tools.
• Able to read and follow engineering drawings.
• Quality focused, organised and consistent.
• Familiar with lean principles like 5S.
• Comfortable working to production targets and rotating shifts.
• A strong team player with a steady, reliable approach.
