We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Locum Special Guardianship Order (SGO) / Kinship Social Worker to join a specialized team within Manchester City Council (MCC). This is a vital temporary position offering an excellent rate and flexible hybrid working. The Role: Special Guardianship and Kinship You will be responsible for undertaking in-depth assessments and providing support to connected persons caring for children under SGOs and other kinship arrangements. Key Responsibilities: Conducting high-quality, comprehensive Special Guardianship Assessments (SGA) and Connected Persons Assessments. Preparing detailed, evidence-based reports for court proceedings and Panel consideration. Providing ongoing post-order support, advice, and guidance to Special Guardians and kinship carers.
