SFS Project Designer

Exciting opportunity for a Project Designer within the SFS sector has arisen with my Client, a highly regarded design engineering and manufacturing specialist within the SFS sector.-The role of Project Designer will focus on project detailing of light gauge steel systems and to effectively manage projects throughout the design and completely own the production of Revit models.

My Client is seeking a Revit skilled Technical who is capable of producing the SFS drawings, details and models for their steel framing division.

Overview of Duties:-

• Maintain and generate drawings (Plans, Elevations & Sections), providing bespoke and standard details within the pack
• Understanding the scope of works and interpret the clients design requirements
• Liaising with all relevant members of the internal & external project design team
• Attend design meetings
• Interpretation of architects'' and structural engineers'' drawings
• Incorporation of comments as required (external/ internal)
• Issue drawings to client via portal uploads
• Work on multiple projects and informing clients of progression
• Filing comments, drawings & documents received from external & internal
• Collaborating on projects alongside other team members
• Planning & organising tasks and projects

Ideally applicants will possess the following skills and expertise (my client, to a certain degree, is open to considering varying levels of experience for this role and adapting duties accordingly if-SFS and Revit experience can be evidenced):-

• Standard Infill, Oversail and Load Bearing knowledge (ideally at least 2 years)
• Able to create innovative solutions
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Capable of fully understanding architectural and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of BIM Level 2 requirements
• Revit experience (Ideally 2 years)
• Autocad experience (Ideally 2 years)
• Tekla experience an advantage
• Good communication skills
• Able to manage projects alone and meet tight deadlines
