Our client, a local manufacturing company and supplier of soft play and family entertainment centres, are looking to recruit an experienced 'Sewing Machinist' to join their Production team.
You will play a vital role in the crafting of high-quality products, working with various fabrics, mainly PVC to deliver precision and excellence in every piece.
As the Sewing Machinist, you will;
- Work on industrial sewing machines, sewing mainly PVC fabrics.
- Read and interpret work orders, patterns, and specifications.
- Operating Industrial Sewing Machines with a walking foot.
- Maintain consistent quality.
- Conduct basic machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues.
- Inspect finished items to ensure they meet company quality standards.
- Keep workspace clean, organised, and safe at all times.
As the Sewing Machinist, you will have the following skills /experience;
- Previous experience of industrial sewing.
- Strong knowledge of different stitching techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good time management.
