Site Engineer (Setting Out) Major Civil Engineering Project Location: Plymouth Contract: Long-term / Freelance (Inside IR35) or Permanent Security Clearance: Required applicants must be UK Nationals Overview Carmichael UK has a fantastic opportunity for Site Engineers with strong setting-out experience to join a long-term civil engineering project in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established delivery team on a variety of civil engineering works, playing a key role in the accurate and safe delivery of site activities. The role covers both self-delivered and subcontracted works. The Role As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day engineering activities on site, with a strong emphasis on setting out and dimensional control. You will support and mentor junior engineers where required and provide technical input across multiple areas of delivery. You will contribute to: RAMS Temporary Works briefs ITPs Weekly progress and planning updates NCRs, TQs, and Early Warnings Key Accountabilities SHE performance at site level, supporting the Line Manager Quality performance, ensuring standards of workmanship and documentation are met Accuracy of engineering controls and dimensional compliance Supporting the effective performance of the site engineering team Dimensional Control and Setting Out Ensure timely and accurate dimensional control of works Provide and check setting-out for both direct delivery and ..... full job details .....
