Setting Out Engineer

TLG Infrastructure are recruiting for a Setting Out Engineer to work for a leading Civil Engineer contractor on a contract basis.

The right person will ideally have experience setting out for drainage, groundworks and earthworks.

Responsibilities:

• Read and understand construction drawings.
• Set out drainage lines, manholes, kerbs, and earthworks.
• Mark excavation lines and formation levels.
• Check ground levels and site measurements.
• Use surveying equipment such as a total station, GPS, and automatic level.
• Ensure drainage and earthworks are completed to the correct line and level.
• Record survey data and site measurements.
• Report any drawing or site discrepancies.
• Work closely with site engineers, supervisors, and machine operators.
• Follow health and safety procedures on site.
