Setting Out Engineer - Data Centre - Vaasa

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Setting Out Engineer to join their team on a large-scale, mission-critical data centre project in Vaasa, Finland. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate setting out, surveying, and dimensional control services across all phases of construction, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements. The role will involve working across civil, structural, architectural, and specialist building services installations within a technically complex data centre environment. The successful candidate will work closely with site management, engineers, subcontractors, and design teams to maintain accuracy, quality, and programme requirements, ensuring all works are coordinated to meet the demanding standards of a mission-critical facility. Key Responsibilities Carry out accurate setting out for foundations, ground beams, pile caps, structural steelwork, concrete slabs, walls, partitions, and other building elements. Establish, verify, and maintain site control points, benchmarks, gridlines, datums, and survey control networks. Undertake setting out for data hall floors, equipment plinths, service penetrations, risers, plant rooms, and external infrastructure. Interpret and work from architectural, structural, civil, and MEP drawings, coordinated BIM models, and technical specifications.
