Setter Technician

Job Title: Moulding Setter TechnicianReports to: Operations DirectorHours: 40 hours per week (Full-time) ProfileWe are seeking an experienced Moulding Setter Technician to oversee evening shift operations. This is a hands on leadership role responsible for ensuring smooth production, problem-solving on the shop floor and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical mould-setting expertise and proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key ResponsibilitiesManage the production and packing teams, ensuring all team members work safely and follow agreed processes and instructions.Set up production works orders across all moulding machines using defined documentation to meet schedules with a focus on quality, efficiency and a right-first-time approach.Physically hang and set mould tools across all machines safely and effectively.Monitor production quality and report any concerns promptly.Complete all required quality and shift handover documentation accurately.Assign tasks in priority order to setters, operatives and support staff, including workflow management through the packing team.Maintain a safe working environment and promote a strong safety culture.Drive process optimisation and efficient troubleshooting to improve production performance.Support team welfare, resolve conflicts and ensure clear communication across the shift.
