Setter Operator

An established metal fabrication and manufacturing company in County Durham is recruiting a Setter Operator to join their production team. As Setter Operator, you will set, programme and operate punch and press machinery, working to design specifications and quality standards. This is a hands on Setter Operator position within a busy production environment, working closely with your Team Leader to hit agreed targets. What you''ll be doing Setting, programming and operating punch and press machinery Working to engineering drawings and required quality standards Meeting individual and team production targets in line with agreed dates Carrying out TPM on machinery and liaising with leadership on repairs Completing safety checks and documentation in line with company standards Contributing ideas on new working methods and manufacturing practices Supporting other production areas as required Maintaining a safe, tidy working environment in line with 5S principles What we''re looking for NVQ Level 2 in Machine Operations, or equivalent practical experience Over three years in a relevant industry, operating punch and press machinery Good attention to detail and a solid grasp of maths and engineering drawings Experience of Lean working practices A flexible, team focused approach Please note that full training is not provided for this Setter Operator role, so applicants should be able to operate confidently from the outset.
