Responsibilities and Requirements of a Service Technician: Driving Licence (required). You will ideally hold an NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent qualification. Previous experience working within a main dealership or independent workshop environment is desirable. Carry out routine vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard.
