Service Technician

The Role: Silcom Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Advisor to join an established main dealership based in Chichester. This position is being offered on an initial 12-month Fixed-Term Contract (FTC), with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. Our client is seeking a customer-focused and professional individual who ideally has previous experience working within a Service Advisor position. However, candidates with relevant automotive customer service experience will also be considered. The successful candidate will join a busy aftersales department, acting as the key point of contact between customers and the workshop while ensuring an excellent level of service throughout the customer journey. Responsibilities and Requirements of a Service Advisor: Act as the primary point of contact for customers throughout their vehicle''s service and repair journey. Welcome customers into the dealership and accurately identify their servicing, maintenance and repair requirements. Book vehicles in for servicing, repairs, MOTs and routine maintenance, ensuring appointments are scheduled efficiently. Carry out the vehicle handover and intake process, accurately recording mileage, vehicle condition and customer requirements. Liaise closely with technicians and the workshop team to ensure work is completed efficiently and customers are kept informed of progress.
