About the Role

Service Technician
Full Time | Temp to Perm | 9-Hour Working Day
We are currently recruiting for a Service Technician to join a growing and dynamic operation. This is a varied, hands-on role that requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
The successful candidate will work a two-week rotating shift pattern aligned with warehouse operations:
- Week 1: Outbound Vehicle Quality Control
- Week 2: Inbound Vehicle Inspections and Handover Preparation
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out quality control inspections on outbound vehicles
- Inspect inbound vehicles and prepare them for handover
- Manage and maintain spare parts inventory
- Liaise with suppliers to order parts and stock as required
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair products designated for outlet sale
- Assess returned products and grade them accordingly
- Manage End of Life (EOL) product processes
- Lead showroom changeovers and coordinate changeover activities
- Ensure all work is completed to company quality and safety standards
- Develop the capability to work independently and take ownership of inventory management processes
This role offers excellent long-term progression opportunities. Following successful training, the Service Technician will be expected to support field-based activities, including:
- Customer service follow-up visits across London
- Resolving technical issues in the field
- Supporting more complex service requirements in Northern locations when required
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
- Previous experience in a technical, mechanical, quality control, or service-related role preferred
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues effectively
- Good communication skills
