A fantastic opportunity for an Electrotechnical Technician based in or around Heathrow is available to join a specialist engineering business delivering and maintaining advanced electromechanical and automated systems within major airport environments. This Electrotechnical Technician job offers the opportunity to work in a technically demanding airport environment, supporting the installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding of specialist equipment. The role covers electrical, mechanical and automation systems, ensuring high levels of equipment reliability, availability and performance within a highly regulated environment. Electrotechnical Technician Job Responsibilities Install, commission and validate specialist electromechanical and automated equipment. Carry out equipment adjustments, configuration and functional testing. Perform planned preventative and corrective maintenance. Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical and automation faults. Troubleshoot industrial electrical systems and power distribution equipment, including 400Hz systems. Maintain and troubleshoot industrial HVAC and PCA systems. Work on PLC and industrial automation control systems, including configuration and fault-finding. Test and troubleshoot sensors, actuators and control interfaces. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings and PandID diagrams. Provide technical support to airport teams, operators and customers.
