Service Technician - MOT Tester

Our client is a well-established main dealership in Shrewsbury and they are looking for an experienced MOT Tester & Vehicle Technician to join their busy Service Department. Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA regulations and standards.
• Undertake servicing, maintenance, and repair work on a wide range of vehicles to the highest standard.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and accurately.
• Complete all work in line with manufacturer repair times and company procedures.
• Accurately record vehicle health checks, diagnostics, completed work, and parts used.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Liaise professionally with colleagues, Service Advisors, and customers when required.
• Deliver excellent customer service by ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and on time.

Minimum Requirements:

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Current and valid MOT Tester licence (Class 4).
• At least 2 years'' post-qualification experience as a Vehicle Technician within a dealership or similar workshop environment.
• Strong diagnostic and technical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A commitment to producing high-quality work.
