Service Technician

Our client is seeking skilled mechanical and electrical engineers to join their team at London Heathrow Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the productivity and output of the airport''s baggage and cargo handling systems by performing maintenance duties in compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and team working practices.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventive, and corrective maintenance
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control faults
• Ensure equipment reliability, safety, and compliance
• Work across varied conditions including heights, tight spaces, and noisy environments

Requirements

• DBS clearance and 5 years of verifiable background history (work, study, benefits, or personal reference via registered accountant)
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in a mechanical or electrical maintenance discipline
• Strong background in maintenance or service engineering (ideally in automated or FMCG environments)
• Comfortable with electrical and mechanical tasks
• Flexible for day/night shifts
• 18th Edition (BS 7671 Wiring Regulations)
• Previous conveyor or baggage handling experience
