Service Officer (Affected Others Programme)

Contract: Permanent (Initial funding until 31st March 2028) Location: Home-based (expectation of attendance at London office once a month) or hybrid working at London office (expectation of attendance of eight days in the London office per month); some travel across England may be required. Help create safe, supportive spaces for people affected by someone else''s gambling, and play a key role in shaping an inclusive support service that reaches those who may otherwise struggle to access help. If you offer experience of facilitating support groups or peer support spaces, particularly for people facing complex personal, social or health-related challenges, this is an exciting opportunity to join GamCare''s Affected Others Programme and help prevent and reduce gambling-related harm experienced by individuals affected by another person''s gambling. The Role As Service Officer for the Affected Others Programme, you''ll deliver online support spaces for people affected by someone else''s gambling, helping them feel heard, understood and able to access the right support. You''ll facilitate safe, non-clinical group sessions, carry out wellbeing and support needs assessments, identify and escalate any safeguarding or risk concerns, and help people connect with appropriate internal or external services where needed.
