Role Summary:
As Service Manager for Support & Protect, you''ll provide strategic leadership across Children''s Services, ensuring high-quality support for children, young people, and families. You''ll play a key role in safeguarding, service development, and driving continuous improvement, while leading a dedicated team to deliver positive outcomes.

As Service Manager for Support & Protect, you will:
Lead and inspire dedicated social work teams across Barrow
Provide strategic leadership in safeguarding, permanence planning, and service improvement
Drive quality and performance standards while managing budgets and approx. 40 staff
Collaborate with partners to improve outcomes for children and families
Champion innovation, creativity, and best practice in children''s services
Requirements:
Degree in Social Work + Social Work England registration
Significant management experience in children''s services
Strong safeguarding expertise and knowledge of child protection law/regulation
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and deliver change
