Service Manager – Repairs & Maintenance
Salary: £50,000 per annum van and fuel card
Location: Crewe, Cheshire
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (8am–7pm, Monday–Friday, plus Saturday mornings on a rota)
Contract: Permanent Hybrid/ Agile  working (office, on-site and home)

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Service Manager to join the Repairs and Maintenance team of a leading housing provider in Crewe.
You will manage and support an area-based operational team in the delivery of a high-quality Responsive Repairs service. Working within a hybrid model that blends office, on-site and home working, you''ll have the autonomy to lead your team while keeping service quality at the heart of everything you do.

What You''ll Be Doing
• Leading, managing and developing an operational repairs team to deliver an excellent, customer-focused responsive repairs service
• Applying up-to-date knowledge of building construction, maintenance, repairs and safety legislation
• Managing and performance managing operatives to achieve the highest standards
• Overseeing sub-contractor management and delivery
• Using repairs management information systems to monitor performance and drive service improvement
• Staying ahead of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation

What We''re Looking For
Essential:
• Hands-on trade experience, supported by relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications
• Proven experience of managing, leading and developing operational teams
• Up-to-date knowledge of building construction, social housing repairs and safety legislation
• Knowledge and experience of sub-contractor management
• Experience of successfully delivering an excellent customer-focused repair service
• Experience of repairs management information systems
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong people management and performance management ability

Essential Qualifications:
• Relevant Technical qualification – Trade NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)

Desirable:
• Experience of working as part of a management team delivering front-line services
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Site Management Safety (SMSTS) or IOSH
