Service Engineer

Service Engineer Day Shift (Monday - Friday, 8am-4pm with some flexibility either side) 37.5 hour week Permanent role, onsite location Darlington Jackson Hogg recruitment are delighted to be exclusively supporting our long standing client with the appointment of a Service Engineer based in Darlington. This role will involve supervising whilst remaining hands on assembling, testing, comissioning and servicing complex structural and mechanical equipment. With diverse projects to be involved in and a dynamic role to be part of a small close knit team, this is an excellent opportunity for someone wanting a long-term position. Job Description Ensure a quality build, following agreed assembly and inspection procedures. Assist with the production of standard operating procedures. Ensure the completion of Production Documentation, Jobcards, Internal Acceptance Tests (IAT), Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and pre-delivery checklists. Provide technical support and training for customers, which may involve site visits of both a national and international nature, both offshore and onshore. Fault finding and detailed reporting when conducting service work. Maintenance of workshop tools and machinery. Develop, train and mentor team members. Skills Required HNC/HND Mechanical Engineering Relevant experience from heavy industry, Oil and Gas background or ex forces Welding and fabrication skills, MIG, stick welding for steel products Hydraulic schematics and circuitry ..... full job details .....
