Service Engineer (Field and Site-Based) UK Wide (occasional travel to Ireland)We are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join a specialist engineering business operating within the food manufacturing and packaging sector. This is a hands-on role combining both on-site installation work and field service support, offering variety and technical challenge. Working HoursMonday to Friday8:30am - 4:30pmDay shifts The RoleThis is a 50/50 split between site-based project work and field service engineering. You will be involved in building, installing, maintaining, and fault-finding on food processing and packaging machinery across the UK, with occasional travel to Ireland. Key ResponsibilitiesPanel wiring and electrical assembly (site-based work)Service, maintenance, and repair of food and packaging machineryPLC fault finding and diagnosticsWork with inverters, single-phase and three-phase motorsAttend breakdowns and provide timely technical supportSupport installation and commissioning of machineryEnsure all work is carried out in line with safety standards RequirementsNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical/Engineering disciplineBackground in manufacturing, ideally within the food industryExperience with PLC fault findingStrong electrical skills including panel wiringKnowledge of inverters and motors (single and three phase)Full UK driving licenceWillingness to travel across the UK and occasionally internationally Salary and BenefitsSalary up to £40,000Company pension (NEST ..... full job details .....
