Service Engineer

Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer required to join a global, market leading engineering manufacturer.

The Successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance plus electrical fault finding on high speed rotating equipment, predominantly centrifugal-compressors at customer sites UK wide.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician / Compressor Engineer will ideally have a field service background in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience on rotating equipment such as Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Compressors, Gearboxes, Diesel Engines. Centrifuges,- Reciprocating Engines, Controls and Instrumentation, Generators, Pumps or similar. Full product training provided.

• To provide electrical and mechanical repair, service, and maintenance of centrifugal compressed air equipment at customer sites.
• The Compressor Service Engineer will undertake planned and preventative maintenance, provide advice, diagnostics and technical support.
• Provide mechanical repair, service, and maintenance plus electrical fault finding and programming on centrifugal compressors at customer sites UK wide.
• Installing compressed air products into all forms of the manufacturing industry.
• Perform emergency breakdown fault finding and repairs on-centrifugal compressed air equipment.
• Liaise with various engineering departments.

• Proven diagnostic skills on complicated electrical / mechanical engineering systems.
• Experience as a Field Service Engineer / Service Engineer / Service Technician / Installation Engineer / Compressor Engineer / Mechanical Engineer / M&E Engineer / Electrical Engineer or similar.
• The ability in maintaining good professional working relationships with existing and new customers.
• Good working knowledge of three phase electrics and controls is advantageous.
• Field service background in the compressed air industry or strong electromechanical experience in rotating equipment such as in Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Compressors, Gearboxes, Diesel Engines, Reciprocating Engines, Centrifuges,- Controls and instrumentation, Generators, Pumps or similar. Full product training provided.
• A technical mechanical engineering degree would be advantageous.
• Fully remote role, willingness to travel UK wide and stay away 75% of the time.
