Service Engineer

Work on the kind of engineering problems that don''t get fixed with a quick service call. We''re looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to support major manufacturing customers across the UK. This is not a high-volume role driving from job to job completing routine service calls. You''ll work on complex industrial plant (mainly in the aerospace sector) and automated manufacturing systems, often spending several days on site diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, completing planned maintenance and delivering engineering improvements. You''ll be trusted to use your engineering judgement rather than simply work through a checklist. The Role You''ll be responsible for: Fault finding and repair of complex industrial equipment Planned and preventative maintenance Mechanical and/or electrical repairs Installation, modification and upgrade work Diagnosing problems and developing practical engineering solutions Working from engineering drawings and technical information Supporting longer-term maintenance and improvement projects You''ll be home based and travel directly to customer sites across the UK, so you can live anywhere in the UK but ideally across the Midlands or Central England.
