Service Engineer - Gas Detection Systems Location: Remote / Field-Based - UKJob Type: Full-Time, PermanentTravel: UK customer sites as required The Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join a specialist engineering organisation operating within the gas detection and industrial safety sector. This is a remote, field-based position where you will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing, maintenance and repair of gas detection systems at customer sites across the UK. The position would suit a technically capable and self-motivated engineer who enjoys fault-finding, working directly with customers and taking responsibility for service activities in the field. Previous experience within gas detection, industrial safety or process industries is essential for this position. Key Responsibilities As a Service Engineer, you will: Install and commission gas detection equipment and systems at customer sites. Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic and electro-mechanical faults. Provide both on-site and remote technical support to customers. Investigate technical issues and provide effective solutions to minimise equipment downtime. Read and interpret technical documentation, wiring diagrams and system specifications.
