Service Controller (Engineering / Facilities Services)

A well-established and growing engineering services business is seeking a Service Controller to join their busy operations team, supporting delivery across a major national contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual with experience in service coordination, administration, or engineering support environments.

The Role

Working as part of a collaborative service team, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of planned and reactive works across multiple sites nationwide.

Key responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and scheduling engineers for emergency callouts and reactive works
• Managing incoming service requests and responding to customer queries
• Liaising closely with engineers, clients, and subcontractors
• Updating internal service systems, portals, and revenue tracking tools
• Raising purchase orders, processing invoices, and supporting costing activities
• Monitoring job progress and ensuring service delivery targets are met
• Providing general administrative support to the service function

What We''re Looking For

• Previous experience in a service coordination, helpdesk, or engineering admin role
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Excellent communication skills and customer-focused approach
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
• Good IT skills, including experience using service management systems
• A team player with a proactive and problem-solving mindset

Desirable:

• Experience within HVAC, FM, or a related engineering/service industry
• Understanding of job costing, scheduling, and service delivery processes
