Service Charges and Rent ManagerPermanent Full-Time (37 hours per week)Role Overview:We have an exciting opportunity for a Service Charges and Rent Manager to take operational responsibility for the effective management, administration, and communication of service charges and rent processes across a housing portfolio of 7,000+ homes, including homeowners, freeholders, estates, and garages.This leadership role ensures compliance, accuracy, transparency, and high levels of customer satisfaction, whilst driving continuous improvement and managing a customer-facing team.Key Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and manage annual service charge budgets, ensuring accuracy and transparencyEnsure annual rent and service charge notifications are issued in line with regulatory requirements and best practiceProvide clear, concise breakdowns of charges with transparent explanations of cost changesEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation (e.g., Leasehold Reform Act, Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, Housing Acts)Oversee estate charges, utility billing arrangements, and sinking fundsCommunicate effectively with residents, responding to queries and explaining charges clearlyWork closely with contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure service delivery meets agreed standardsLead on implementation of new systems, tools, and technologies to improve service deliveryDeliver high-quality customer service and ensure strong customer outcomesPresent complex financial and compliance ..... full job details .....
