Service Charge Accountant

Robertson Bell are recruiting for a Service Charge Accountant on behalf of a well-established housing organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced service charge professional to join a values-led organisation in a fully remote role, supporting the accurate budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and reconciliation of service charge accounts.Key Responsibilities:• Prepare service charge budgets, forecasts, and year-end reconciliations• Monitor service charge income and expenditure within monthly accounts• Lead on audit processes and support external auditors• Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain accurate audit trails• Support with Section 20, 21, and 22 requirements• Produce service charge reporting and analysis for stakeholders• Respond to customer enquiries relating to service charges• Support continuous improvement across service charge processes and controlsThe Successful Candidate:• Strong understanding of service charge legislation and regulation• Experience preparing budgets and reconciliations within a housing environment• Experience working with auditors and managing audit processes• Knowledge of leasehold, shared ownership, and freehold tenures• Minimum AAT qualified with strong Excel skills• Strong communication skills and customer-focused approach• Housing association or social housing experience would be advantageousWhat''s on Offer:• Fully remote working• Opportunity to join a collaborative and customer-focused organisation• Strong ..... full job details .....
