Job Description: Service and Technical Engineer Location: Barnsley, Sheffield, Leeds and Surrounding Areas Salary: £38,000 £45,000 (DOE) The Role We re seeking a skilled and adaptable Service and Technical Engineer to carry out maintenance, installation, and repair work across a wide range of plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems. This mobile role offers variety, independence, and the chance to work on diverse commercial sites under the guidance of a Service and Technical Manager. Key Responsibilities Planned and reactive maintenance on plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and mechanical plant. Installation and commissioning of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems. Fault-finding, diagnostics, and implementing effective repairs. Identifying efficiency and system improvement opportunities. Ensuring compliance with health and safety and completing all required documentation. Professional communication with clients and accurate reporting. Regular travel to client sites. What You ll Bring Proven experience in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical service work. Relevant qualifications (NVQ Level 2/3, City and Guilds, Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing). F-Gas certification (required for AC work). Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of commercial mechanical and building services systems.
