Service and Commissioning Engineer

Service Engineer Dorset and South West £36,000 - £40,000 + Company Benefits Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Service and Commissioning Engineer to join our Fire and Security team. Covering Dorset and the South West, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding, and commissioning a wide range of fire, life safety, and electronic security systems. You will also undertake small installation works while ensuring exceptional customer service and compliance with all relevant industry standards. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain, and fault find on Fire Detection, Portable Fire Extinguishers, Access Control, Door Entry, CCTV, Intruder Alarm, and Emergency Lighting systems. Carry out small installation and commissioning works where required. Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise system downtime. Ensure all work complies with current British Standards, BAFE/NSI requirements, and company procedures. Complete accurate service reports and documentation using company systems. Participate in the 24-hour emergency call-out rota Deliver a professional and customer-focused service at all times. Communicate clearly with customers, providing updates and technical advice where required. Work closely with the Service Coordinator and Team Manager to ensure client expectations and SLAs are achieved. Carry out site surveys alongside Installation Engineers when required.
