Service Advisor

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple sites nationwide for a Vehicle Service Advisor at their busy Gloucester dealership. Duties of a Service Advisor:

• Deal directly with customers to deliver exceptional service and ensure customer satisfaction
• Manage workshop loading effectively, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
• Book vehicle appointments that align with workshop capacity and customer convenience
• Identify customer needs and provide accurate, fully inclusive quotations
• Produce detailed job cards, estimates, and invoices while ensuring clarity on work carried out
• Communicate thoroughly with customers about repair work and additional sales opportunities
• Prepare warranty job cards in accordance with manufacturer policies and procedures
• Record all work accurately, including retail, warranty, internal, and non-chargeable repairs
• Liaise with parts department to ensure availability of required parts
• Build rapport with customers and maintain high standards of professionalism at all times

Requirements of a Service Advisor:

• Previous experience as a Vehicle Service Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive sector
• Strong customer service skills coupled with excellent communication abilities
• Organisational skills with proficiency in IT systems; experience with Kerridge/Keyloop is preferable
• A valid UK driving licence with minimal points
• Knowledge of warranty procedures and experience working with commercial vehicles is advantageous but not essential
